Special Olympics Maine is looking for volunteers to help with our State level candlepin bowling competition for Southern Maine Athletes, located at Westport Bowling in Westbrook!
Volunteers do not need to have an extensive knowledge of candlepin bowling- just a willingness to learn!
Volunteers will be running the awards stand at the event! Every athlete receives an award based on their division and score. Volunteers will receive completed score cards which will list the athletes names, their places and the division they are in. Awards volunteers will ensure all athletes are present to receive their awards, show athletes to their place on the awards stand, announce the athletes names and their places and ensure they receive the correct place award. There will be multiple volunteers assisting with this process and Special Olympics Maine staff are available for any and all questions!
This is sure to be a fun opportunity for you to see Athletes compete together and share in the joy of competition and fitness!
