Description

About the volunteer role:

Volunteers in the announcing role will relay messages to our athletes, coaches and spectators from the main track, inside events, and other announcements. The announcer will be stationed at "Tent City" where teams set up their tents and leave their belongings as a home base during the games. Announcers will be letting people know of upcoming events, etc.

Please only choose this volunteer opportunity if you feel confident and comfortable using technology and making decisions in a busy environment.

A Special Olympics Maine staff will show and teach you how to use the microphone and walkie talkie and any other technology and provide you with a schedule.
