About the volunteer role:
Volunteers will do one or some of the following: officiate 5v5 soccer games during the Southern Maine Soccer Competition, ensure rules and regulations are being followed (rules and regulations will be provided), time athletes and report times to score keeper.
Both timers and officials will receive training and Special Olympics Maine staff will be present for any questions that arise.
About the event:
Special Olympics Maine’s Southern Maine Soccer Competition is one of SOME's two regional soccer competitions hosted during the fall soccer season. Athletes in the Southern Maine region come together to compete in a 5-A-Side soccer tournament to showcase the skills they have been training for over the past few months. Join us as we help grow the wonderful game of soccer and provide a playing field for our Athletes to compete on!
